Capture Your Moments
Designed by Socialmatic LLC and manufactured by authorized Polaroid licensee, C&A Licensing, the Polaroid Socialmatic changes the way consumers look at digital cameras with its unique square shape and vintage design.  The Polaroid Socialmatic camera utilizes an Android operating system, providing a familiar, easy to use interface and access to numerous creative capabilities and apps.  Consumers can use either the 14 megapixel front- or 2 megapixel rear- camera to capture their favorite moments. Included is an LED flash for great images even in low light.  Once the image is captured, it can be viewed on the 4.5” touchscreen LCD display.  Using the easy to navigate touch screen, the user has the ability to customize, edit or enhance their images with text, icons and clip art—without having to wait to get to a computer or tablet.  Then the images can be saved to a Micro SD card or to the camera’s 4GB of internal storage.

ZINK Zero Ink® Printing
Once the image is captured, the Polaroid Socialmatic camera uses the most current evolution of instant printing technology, allowing users to select, print and share physical prints instantly using the ink-free Zero Ink® Printing technology by ZINK Imaging. The key to the ink-free system is the patented ZINK Paper®, an advanced composite material embedded with cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals and with a protective polymer overcoat.  Before printing, the dye crystals are colorless making ZINK Paper look like regular white photo paper. The ZINK-enabled Printer uses heat to activate and colorize these crystals. The result is full-color, high quality, long-lasting and smudge-proof images without the need for ink cartridges, ribbons or toner.  The 2X3 inch sticker-backed photo prints in just under a minute so consumers can instantly share physical photos with their friends and family.  

Instantly Post & Share
For the consumer who would rather share digitally, the Polaroid Socialmatic camera allows consumers to instantly upload and share images to their favorite social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the new Socialmatic Photonetwork via the camera’s built in Wi-Fi.  If Wi-Fi isn’t immediately available, the camera easily pairs with consumers’ smartphones via Bluetooth to enable instant sharing from virtually anywhere.  

Remote Photo Printing
The Polaroid Socialmatic camera bridges instant photo printing and digital photo sharing via an enhanced portfolio of features designed around the camera’s unique abilities. Every camera and every photo has its own individual QR code enabling the user to scan the code from the picture, view its history, track its whereabouts and continue to share and follow it virtually anywhere in the world – thus building a unique global Socialmatic network.  Consumers can also upload images from their mobile devices using the camera’s Wi-Fi or Bluetooth features and send it to another Polaroid Socialmatic camera to be printed and shared.  This allows the camera to act as a remote printer that’s only accessible to approved network members –regardless of location.

Polaroid packages instant printing in a pocket-sized device allowing consumers to easily print their photos from any Bluetooth enabled smartphone or tablet

Ridgefield Park, NJ-January 5^th, 2015 – Polaroid, the brand that created the first social network by enabling consumers to instantly print and share images, is now offering that same sharing experience to today’s mobile generation, with the launch of the Polaroid Zip mobile printer.

The Polaroid Zip mobile printer pairs wirelessly to any smartphone or tablet and using a dedicated mobile app available for both iOS or Android, will allow users to instantly print 2x3 inch color photos from virtually any image on their Apple or android device.

Engineered To Fit In A Pocket, Designed To Fit All Lifestyles  
Approximately the size of a smartphone, the Polaroid Zip mobile printer weighs just 186g (.41lbs) and can be taken anywhere. The device measures 2.91” x 4.72”, just less than one inch thick and boasts a striking high-gloss finish augmented by the iconic Polaroid Color Spectrum logo.  Despite it’s wealth of features, the only physical control is a power button which has been seamlessly integrated into the unit’s boldly simple design. The Polaroid Zip mobile printer features a free app for iOS and Android and connects to mobile devices via Bluetooth 4.0 or NFC.

These dedicated apps are full-featured and give users the ability to truly express their creativity and enhance their prints. Users can capture a photo or select and edit an image from their gallery, applying a wide range of creative filters, effects and controls, including:

- Enhancements to brightness, contrast, saturation and tint as well as 12 color filters including sepia, retro and HDR.
- A collage mode that allows users to feature up to 9 images on one single print.
- The ability to draw in various colors using the paint mode as well as the use of frames, stickers, stamps, emojis and animations to make the image stand out.
- A unique business card creator allows users to choose from several templates and add in their image and personal info for a creative leave behind.
- The option to make edits private and only viewable using the app’s secret view mode. Secret view will print the original photo with an individual QR code that, when scanned, will reveal the final image complete with add-ons and creative effects. 

ZINK Zero Ink® Printing
The new Polaroid Zip mobile printer uses the revolutionary ink-free Zero Ink Printing technology developed by ZINK Imaging.
